hello guys .. i got tired of my shadow its annoying thing to join ur guild team and u know that they got a better chance if they replace you with another class that do ur role much better .. i still wanna play a class like shadow that can dps and tank
so am asking which is better for rated a gurdian or vanguard tanking and dpsing ..
i kinda like the vanguard cuz their dps is good (pyro BH ) and they can charge and pull if they r spec to tanks and they can tank good
so what do you guys think
+ if u guys could tell me what the pros and cons of each class so i can decide better
Well the Guardian is the better tank (guarding healers, team utility, survivability), but Vanguards do a lot more damage even when specced Defense. Also, they are ridiculously over powered if you ever change your mind and go DPS. I'll be putting out a like... ~10 page guide on Guardian tanks in PvP, including a bunch of videos, here in a few days. It's going to be awesome. You're welcome to check back here then and check it out and see if it fits your play style.

Thank you
VG has more flat mitigation for tanking but far less utility compared to say a Guardian. VG DPS is literally unmatched atm and this is why you're better off going that route. Leave the tanking to the Guardians :p.
tbh i dont care about numbers or anything all i care is lead my team to a win game
iv done that with 23/1/17 as shadow like a solo player guarding a node while my friend cap it (force stun -> break stun -> force lift ) and helping guarding the healers to keep my team up and in hutball pulling the ball carryer and prevent them from scoring
Stealth Scan (which also roots for 3 seconds if it catches someone)
6s cooldown interrupt (12 points in Tactics, easy to get)
Higher base mitigation
Higher damage, substantial AoE
It's personal opinion as to whether you think that utility is outweighed by Guardian utility (I would say the Guardian probably has the edge, but not by all that much). If I were putting together a "perfect" team, it would probably have a Guardian tank (mostly for Huttball tbh). If I had to live with a Vanguard tank, I wouldn't be at all upset about it (and they're still amazing for Huttball, MUCH better at defense than Guardians entirely due to Harpoon).
DPS-wise, I'd say Vanguards are probably superior right now, but not worth stacking exclusively. Focus can put out a huge amount of pressure on healers with well-placed Force Sweeps and provides arguably more utility than an Assault VG, so they're not dead weight by any stretch.
Completely your call on what to roll, I'd base it more on playstyle than on which one is "better". Things are always going to get buffed and nerfed; rolling the FOTM class just to be the currently OP class is pointless.
