Anyone else think we are underperforming?

I'm under the impression that KC/Darkness is quite possibly the best node holder ATM. That being said, Infil/Deception and Balance/Madness are both not up to par in terms of damage ratio. Granted, Madness does bring a hefty amount of utility, however they are both past 5% in the damage variation philosophy. As a matter of fact, the number is around 10-15% behind sents. Can we use some love? Absolutely. As for Deception/Infil, the tree needs to be completely reworked.

I have tried time and time again to dismiss these thoughts but I can no longer deny it. I feel as any tree I choose... whether it be Deception, Madness or Darkness, I feel like this class simply is not doing enough. I am in full WH gear with all augments. No matter how hard I try it just does not seem up to snuff. Is there something I am doing wrong or does anyone else feel the same?

Depends on the context. We underperform in the sense that we don't do amazingly in any specific role. Juggs are better tanks than us, PTs/maras are better DPS. We bring way more utility than aforementioned classes, so we're more of a "jack of all trades", but bringing more than one is really a mistake. Referring to kinetic of course. The other two trees, definitely underperforming. Deception needs a complete rework, madness needs some mad love.

I started off as Deception and then I switched to Madness. After everyone convinced me that Darkness was the best spec around 1.2, I went along with it. It was good but I am trying to stick to what I love most. That is deception of course. It just feels so replaceable. Why bring a Deception when a Pyro PT can do double my burst and have double my survivability? Why bring a Darkness Tankasin when Juggs are miles ahead? It is baffling to me at this point.
