This document talks about the steps required to achieve that goal. It will be direct and to the point. Basically need everyone to fulfill the desired role.
Long Term Goal Elite PvE / PvP Guild
Current Goal Down Coil T4-T5
Ranks This section deals with a new set of ranks to help balance guild and enforce members into more set, organized roles.
1 – Forefront This rank will be given to the guild members who fulfill ‘playing’ roles. This includes, but not restricted to – being on raid and pvp teams. Members who are chosen from this pool to go on group A teams will be determined by their skill, determination and resolve.
2 – Support This rank will be given to the guild members who fulfill ‘supportive’ roles such as crafting and gathering. These members help ‘gear up’ our Forefront. Members in this category are expected to have good economic or crafting skillset.
3 – Management This rank will be given to the guild members who manage the guild from inner workings. This includes making sure groups are setup for raids / pvp, organizing events, enforcing guild policies and discipline.
Note: Warriors may have a leg-up at some points in the future.
2) Schedule
8:45 PM EST - 12:15 AM EST Next day / Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
3) Enforcement
Members are required to post exactly what they need, including the crafter / mats ahead of raid days so we can work on getting that done. This includes skills too. If one needs help powerleveling for a cross-class ability then this should also be said ahead of time.
4) Recruitment
All members have the ability to scout for other talent but the decision will be ultimately made by Management. The new talent should be capable of the following - Raid hours, Dedication, Set Role and or Skill (Forefront).
Edit: How do you propose to change things? I've already pitched that privately. I'm just saying this is awful in public because I'm pretty adamant about it.

The only thing that might be a problem for are the times. I dont get off work till after 10pm on most days, and the other days are later than that.
Also like Liquid said I would be willing to help the newer players gear out and get the required skills to maximize their class.
Also I would be willing to be apart of the mat farming group as well, since I know the current speed runs from running them so much on my current server, I could show the groups how to complete AK in less than 25 mins which means more mats for the guild and quicker gear.
And as for my rank in the guild, I dont care what rank I am, I just enjoy playing with you guys. In saying that it doesn't mean that Im not serious about it, b/c I am I just dont want us to lose sight of why we are playing together. The group of people in the guild are very talented players capable of great things, but lets not lose sight of the real reason we are playing together and that is to have fun.

I think the guild needs to focus on getting the tanks as geared as possible first. Obviously I'm still learning this game but in every mmo with trinity mechanics I've played it makes more sense to gear tanks before anyone else. Gearing up dps and heals makes it harder for the tank and there's no point in gearing up dps if they're just going to have to hold back so the tank can catch up on aggro. If we can get the tanks the best gear they possibly can have it will give the rest of us a lot more room to work with. We saw last night how much a miss or two can screw things up. So I think we should devote our guild resources to that before anything else.
As a second point we should use non-raid nights to farm as a guild. Cokes/Animal Fat/Potash will come a lot faster if we're farming as a group as opposed to randomly throughout the day and with pugs. When we're not raiding get 1 or 2 farm groups together and just run AK or WP over and over. Drink to alleviate the monotony.
As for my schedule I'm free basically every night from around 8pm est on. The only exception is Fri night as I have a tabletop gaming night with my rl friends.

Basically how this are going to go now is that we will run the correct comp for content, fully geared, buffed and fully optimized in cross-class skills. We're not going to waste time nor deal with unnecessary stress by going into things with anything less than the best. So I suggest if you want to earn or keep a spot on the raid group that you maximize your class as soon as possible and familiarize yourself with the content. If you need help, let us know and we will try our best, but help or not it's your responsibility to bring your best to the raid.
It's finally time to back up our talk - so let's act like it.

For my crafted gear I mostly need animal fat, however I'm going to be using my comms to buy mats for others right now, because there is currently no leatherworker to two star HQ my crafted gear reliably atm anyways. I currently think we need just a bit higher dps to clear turn 4, so that's where my mats are going to go atm. I'm going to currently be spending my time farming these mats.
Going to be going for BFB tonight to have it out of the way. Once I do, Im 100% up for farming coke/potatsh/peacock ore/etc for people as well as gearing up some of the lesser geared people like Jaeger/dmidge/etc. Or if need be I'll run the people rerolling through thier entire hunting logs every time they get a tier of it. Just let me know.
As for helping with management, sure, It wouldn't be something I've never done before. So just let me know privately what you'd like me to focus on in terms of that and i'll do it.
As for the times, tuesdays I dont get out of class until 8:30 pm EST and my school is 15+ miles away from my house. So I may be a little late on tuesday nights but other than that, im clear with no issues the other nights.
The only thing left that I need for my white mage is: Swiftcast.
Additionally, I will be slowly gearing up my bard who just hit 50 today.
He is level 10 right now, not sure what is the fastest place to level him up from 10-26 but any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated.
Additionally, I am completely in the dark on how to go about getting this crafting gear. I think it would be of great help if one of our crafters can lay it out for us in a new post, saying what they can make, and what they need to make it.
Same goes for me, I am more than willing to help out people that needs help leveling/relic quests etc.
As for the raiding time frame:
Monday: I should be on b 5:30 at the latest. (8:30 est) **5:30 is if I lift at school for that day, 4:15 if I don't**
Tuesday / Thursday: 5:45 pst (8:45 est)
Wednesday is a no go, class till 10 pm. (1 am est)
Friday: 4:45 pst (7:45 est) ***gym closes 1 hour earlier***
Ending at 12am est would be perfect for me, since I and my gym partner shoot to be at the gym at 9 pm pst. If you guys still wish to raid past that time frame, I can be replaced / zab can play my character / take a hour and a half break and I will be back.
Let me know what would be easier for you guys, I would be willing to work out earlier and get it out of the way if that would be easier for more people. Start later/ End later kind of deal. I'm fine with either but I am not allowed to skip my workouts =p.
I was more than happy with what we had going on before, just being competitive and having fun as a group of equals. As long as this little hierarchy system doesn't ruin that I will welcome it. A little structure cannot hurt.
In saying that it doesn't mean that Im not serious about it, b/c I am I just dont want us to lose sight of why we are playing together. The group of people in the guild are very talented players capable of great things, but lets not lose sight of the real reason we are playing together and that is to have fun.
