Everybody sign up for the Beta, this way we will know if the game is worth buying when it launches.

Done and done. Hopefully my illustrious career as a Diablo 3 beta tester will make them choose me.

I really don't care about TES lore. Hopefully the combat will not be as bland as it is in TES games. Also hoping you won't be able to have every single skill maxed out on a single character. That always bothered be about TES; "I'm a master mage... and thief... and warrior... and blacksmith/cook/alchemist/enchanter/home decorator/horse breeder"

I have signed up. Supposedly my chances are "excellent."

Signed up. Apparently my chances are only "above average".

From what I heard about the game:

likely pros:
1) Matt Firor (formerly from DAOC)'s 3 faction PvP, and possibly organic 3 faction world PvP (GW2 only has a big 3 faction battleground, while enjoyable, that's not enough imho).
2) Possibly, much less back-tracking in questing than typical MMOs. i.e. if a quest tells you to kill 10 wolves, the system would record it in secret so that if you kill 10 before receiving the quest you can tell the quest giver you already did that

likely cons:
1) Very likely a violation of TES lore. Faction comps are weird, races that are supposed to hate each other in TES are grouped up in at least two of the three factions. Also, elves in the trailer seem to look much more attractive than they are supposed to be in TES lore.

likely X-factors:
1) Dodge bar and limited ability slots, combat sounds very "Guild Wars 2-ish" to me.
2) Little to no mention of competitive PvP as of yet.
3) Endgame PvE seems to follow the traditional PvE model, might feature heroic dungeons.
4) Word about engine (the biggest problem of SWTOR, which imo prevented them from adding content quickly enough): they tried things on a more complete version of TOR's heroEngine, then decided to ditch it and make their own engine.
5) Other than Matt Firor's previous work at DAOC, ZeniMax Online has a lot to do to prove themselves.

Can't say I know much of the game, but I am willing to try it - as there has been much speak of it. So has the speak been of SWTOR, though...

Okay, in an interview Matt Firor said:
When leveling, the three factions are separated and the 3-faction PvP only happens on the map Cyrodill, much like WvWvW in GW2.

Triple facepalm. Organic 3-faction PvP pretty much out of question. I'll go cry a little bit :(
