How to deal with the super cyclone bs:

(From forum postings)

The spiny plume puts a stacking debuff on the person it's hitting, when it get's to 3 stacks they're consumed and it does a super cyclone. You can either arrange for a tank to taunt it off so it never reaches 3 stacks or you just prepare for when its going to explode by healing everyone up/using cds.

When spiny spawns, the person who's has its threat will begin to accumulate stacks. When the stack reaches 3, spiny will do the super cyclone. You can eliminate stacks by having the other tank provoke it to take its threat. From all our runs, it seems impossible for dps/healers to steal threat from it so it has to be the tank.

Super Cyclone is based on the Spiny ad. You notice that it casts a debuff on the person being attacked (usually the OT) right? When it hits 3 stacks, it casts super cyclone. To avoid this, we have the tanks switch agro with provoke once they have 2 stacks on them. I forget the specific timing, but it will cast the debuff in timed intervals iirc (something like it will restack around 10 seconds left on the debuff, so the tank casts the LB with roughly 18 seconds left on the debuff, we only do this if we don't have provoke available to switch the agro due to having to save it to pull Chirada. You'll notice that Yuuichi focus targets the MT so he can pay attention to the debuff timer). Attacking it doesn't seem to draw agro, as does healing. As for who gets intial agro from the spiny plume, we're not yet sure. Usually it's our Monk or the OT, which makes me think it has something to do with who has second agro. We've yet to confirm though. We've tried different things, like who is closest to it, etc.
