PvP thoughts

So PvP...

How it is:
- Moderately fun.
- Horrendously unbalanced.
- Sleeps dominate.
- Bards #1 DPS class by a considerable margin.
- Melee deadzone absolutely outrageous.

What it needs:
- Melee range needs to be increased by 1.5-2 yds
- Sleep duration needs to be cut down to 8sec top, DR reworked
- Allow casters to cast properly without being interrupted
- Give melee actual snares - 50% movement reduction speed (Solves latency / deadzone issues)


I'm sure there's a ton more but this is what I've noticed so far.

I'm sure there's a ton more but this is what I've noticed so far.

 Im all for this, still not played it yet, but if you do both, give ranged a speed burst CD like force speed for sorcs imo. Especially BLM/SMN. I'd say its better to do one at a time, see how gameplay improves, see whats needed. Drastic gameplay changes might be required, but drastic changes made in desperation, or any changes for that matter are never a good thing. I think they should start with the melee range increase and go from there. I think that would help deadzone issues far more.

Plus, correct me if im wrong, but I dont think anyone has 50% snares in this game, you'd probably get 20% like what other classes seem to. Not saying its not needed or whatever, just saying most likely what they will do based on how they designed the game.

 

Sounds rough though overall, I told tear last night, bard will either be rediculous, or terrible. There was not going to be a middle ground for them. Everything is on the mobility, the mobility is either OP or worthless and we'd be reliant on something that isnt helping.

At least FF is fun to fuck around with until they fix it though. Glad you had some fun.

I called this. Just popped in to say told you so.

 

Although to be honest Summoners seem really good as well, which is the opposite of what I thought. So my predictions are a wash?
