Final Fantasy 14 : End Game Progression

Good post and I agree with most of this.  We've already started hitting up Wanderer's Palace.  I've never seen a darklight weapon drop yet though.

I thought it would be a good idea to post how you guys think we should progress through this end game content. I'm sure you guys have already looked at some links, so just go ahead and share here for everyone to see. This will also help the other people not 50 if we can figure out the best way to do this.

Just from a quick google search:

  1. Finish your L50 Job Quest.
  2. Finish your Story by doing Castrum Meridianum and the Praetorium.
  3. Unlock Amdapor Keep and Ifrit Hard.
  4. If your weapon is particularly bad (ie. sub-level 40), get the highest level GC weapon you can (42? 44? I forget!)
  5. Wanderer's Palace! Lots of ilvl 55 gear here, including Darklight weapons, and 50 Philosophy stones a run. A speedrun strategy can get this to sub-20 minutes even with fresh 50 groups.
  6. Once you're comfortable, powerbomb Ifrit Hard for a weapon.
  7. Unlock Garuda Hard from this while you're at it.
  8. Amdapor Keep! There are a lot of words already said about this place - just keep your head together and keep at it. It gets easier as you gear up.
  9. Progress your Relic Quest up to HM Primals once you're mostly fully geared from Amdapor. Hydra don't play around, not to mention Garuda and Titan.
  10. Garuda Hard. Yay!
  11. Titan Hard. Also yay.
  12. Relic! Coil! More yay! Honestly if you can beat Titan you don't even need this kind of advice anymore, what are you reading this for.

Then a guide for how to get the Relic weapon:

Darklight Shield dropped last night which could be considered a weapon of sorts. But ya, I think if we beat every boss the first time and don't get farmed by the Tonberry we can speed through that place in about 20 minutes. It's very easy and chill, I don't mind grinding that one out. Especially since now that Amigo is 50 there's no reason to run Fates and I don't have enough Seals for GC Weap.

Thanks for posting this, I wasn't exactly sure what progression looked like in this game but this makes it a lot easier. I'll also be leveling my professions in the meantime.
